One Friday, the junior and senior infants went up to see Brian Mc Mahon’s apple trees in the Orchard. He let them eat an apple and bring one home. They had a great time up there.

On June 15th Juniors, Seniors, 1st and 2nd went to Bunratty on our school tour. We visited the castle and saw swords and guns and old furniture. We was the king's chair. Then we visited the cottages where the people use to live long ago.

We went into the old school and sat in the desks. They used to have one teacher to teach all the boys and one for the girls.

We got maps to show us where to go.

We had a great day!

Last year 2 house martins visited our school and buitl their nest above the office window. Unfortunately a strong wind blew it down before the eggs hatched.

This year our visitors are back and are buisily building a new nest. Hopefully their visit will be more successful this time.

As part of Book week 2010 we all brought our favourite book to school.

Everyone told the class what the book was about and why they liked it.

Teacher read lots of the stories for us then we painted a picture of our favourite part of the story

We wrote a book called 'Red Giraffe, Red Giraffe'

We visited Scarriff Library where Aileen read stories for us. We looked at lots of books and cloured a picture.
